IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF KNIGHTS - Medieval history, myths, legends and traditions (6-day/ 7-day course) LIMASSOL

Cyprus has been conquered and colonized various times during its 11000-year history. The Middle Ages was a glorious period for Cyprus starting with the division of the Roman Empire into an Eastern and Western half. Cyprus, as part of the Eastern Empire, accepted successive Byzantine and Latin conquerors who settled on the island and ruled it with their own principles and values, influencing its history, art, and culture.

This 6-day course is addressed to teachers, school staff and adults who have particular  interest in history and art. Participants will have the opportunity to enrich their historical background; explore the island and visit monuments and museums. Discussions, site visits and group work will encourage sharing knowledge and finding commonalities with the history of their country. This will lead to a wider understanding of the history of Europe. There is also the possibility to extend the course to 7-day.
