Visual art is a fundamental component of human activity that reflects the world and the era in which we live. Art can help us understand our history, our culture, our lives, and the experience of others in a way that cannot be achieved through other means. It can also be a source of inspiration, reflection, and joy.
Through Visual Arts, students understand the world; express and communicate experiences; understand each other. They learn to reflect critically on their own experiences and response to the work of artists, craftsmen and designers and develop their own knowledge of the arts. Learning in the Visual Arts involves students creating and responding to works of art, sourcing ideas from the around world and imagination. Students engage with and develop knowledge of visual arts, skills, techniques and processes and use a variety of materials as they explore a range of forms, styles and environments.
The course is addressed to teachers from all levels of Educations (Primary, secondary, upper secondary level) who teach the subject Visual Arts or would like to organise visual art activities in their school.
As participants come from different European countries, the course is also a valuable exercise in community building and international understanding. The course is 6-day, however there is the possibility to extend it to 7-day.

The discussions encourage sharing ideas, intercultural dialogue and the exchange of good practices between the participants. Social, networking and cultural activities give participants the opportunity to establish professional cooperation and links with teachers, staff, schools and organisations in Europe. At the end of the course, participants fill in an e-questionnaire for evaluation.
After confirming registration, participants will be informed about the details of the course (arrival, daily programme). Participants will be able to introduce themselves and bring a few examples of routines and practices that they apply to their teaching.
